About Bali Ferry Routes
Bali Ferry Routes is an independent English-language guide to the ferries and fast boats from Bali to the Gili Islands, Lombok, Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.
What the guides cover
Each route guide covers which ports to use at both ends, which boats sail, how long the crossing takes and what it costs where fares are published, and how the travel day fits together. The destination guides add where the boats arrive and how to get around on each island.
Where the information comes from
- Departures, crossing times and fares come from the Ferryhopper timetable on the dates shown in each guide.
- Road distances and the maps use data from © OpenStreetMap contributors and Natural Earth; the terrain on the maps comes from Mapzen Terrain Tiles.
- Port details, fees and rules come from Indonesian government sources and Indonesian and Bali news media. Where only booking sites or travel guides were available, the guide uses “about” or asks you to check locally.
How the guides are checked
For each route we retrieve departures, crossing times and fares from Ferryhopper for set dates, and compare the guide with them. We compare fees, port rules and other facts with the sources above.
What “Last checked” means
It is the date we last compared that guide with the timetable data and the sources. It is not a live update. The guide names the timetable dates it uses, and the live search shows what Ferryhopper offers for your date.
Why times and fares change
Operators set their own timetables and fares, and the sea, port closures and holidays can change them at short notice. Not every operator sells through Ferryhopper, so the guides can miss a boat. Check the details on your ticket and with the operator before you travel.

Bali Ferry Routes is published by FerryGoGo B.V., a company based in Zeist, the Netherlands, which publishes several ferry and travel guides. The company details are on the contact page.
How the guide is funded
The searches and ticket links for fast boats go to Ferryhopper, our booking partner. When you book through them, we may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. We are not a ferry operator and do not sell tickets ourselves. More in the disclaimer.
Links to places to stay go to Booking.com through Stay22. We may receive a commission there too, at no extra cost to you.
